Danny Jang
Danny Jang is an incoming freshman at Harvard University, where he will concentrate in Economics, following a senior year at Bergen County Technical High School's Strategic Asset Management program studying wealth creation, risk evaluation, and portfolio management at the graduate level. Danny founded Futures Financials in October 2022 to make financial literacy accessible to students regardless of background, and now serves as Founder & Executive Chairman, guiding the nonprofit's strategy and growth. Under his leadership, Futures Financials has delivered 100+ teaching sessions across high school and collegiate chapters — including at Princeton University and Seton Hall — driving a 95% average improvement in student financial literacy on pre/post-assessments. Danny led New Jersey's first student-led Teen Teach-In at Bogota Middle School, reaching 150+ students in partnership with the Jump$tart Coalition, and expanded the organization outside New Jersey for the first time with a workshop in Queens, NY, alongside ProjektNYC at the Queens Public Library.
Danny's work has been recognized nationally: he is a 2025 "Best Educator" honoree from the Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards (MAIA), only the second high school student ever to receive the distinction, and a FinMango Global Ambassador — the youngest ever selected, chosen as 1 of 12 from more than 400 global applicants. He is also a Bryan Cameron Impact Scholar and a LEDA Cohort 21 Yoseloff Scholar, selected as one of 100 high-achieving juniors nationwide for the Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America's summer institute at Princeton and Yale. Alongside his nonprofit work, Danny interns as an Equity Analyst at Tocqueville Asset Management and co-authors research with Seton Hall's Associate Dean Wesley Pech on critical thinking assessment, and with Dr. Linda Simpson on the efficacy of youth financial literacy programs. His work has been featured on My9 New Jersey, Fox 5, and in the Queens Gazette and North Jersey Media Group.
Danny's interest in behavioral economics shapes how he thinks about financial education: not just teaching facts, but understanding why people make the money decisions they do. That same drive for community impact carries into his volunteer work as President of Business Development for the Neighbor Plus Foundation, supporting homelessness services across Bergen County and New York, and as an assistant coach for Fort Lee Boys Junior Basketball. Whether through Futures Financials, research, or coaching, Danny is focused on giving young people the tools — financial and otherwise — to shape their own futures.
